Happy New Year! šŸ‘‹

I hope 2025 brings you success, especially here on LinkedIn.

The last two weeks, typically a quiet time for many, turned out to be anything but for me. While some took a well-deserved break, I stayed active, publishing content daily—and the results were incredible!

I experienced the most follower growth and post impressions ever during this period. Three of my posts even hit 1,000+ likes!

Turns out, with fewer people posting, there’s less competition but still millions engaging. (Btw, the last two were reposts of successful posts I did in 2024.)

It’s a reminder to think outside the box: sometimes unconventional posting times can yield the best results.

One last note—LinkedIn plans to restrict reach for ā€œcomment for resourceā€ posts in 2025, so keep an eye on that trend. Let’s see how things unfold!

Here’s to experimenting and thriving this year!

My LinkedIn Growth Blueprint

A year ago, I had no followers or engagement.

Now, with 41,000 followers, I’ve turned LinkedIn into a career and focus on projects I love.

I created the LinkedIn Growth Blueprint to help you do the same. It’s a 2.5-hour guide packed with:

  • Visual templates: Cheat sheets and carousels to adapt easily.

  • Post performance stats: Insights into what works and why.

  • Commenting strategy: My approach to effective engagement.

  • Post creation process: Tools and workflows to save time.

This blueprint gives you everything you need to grow smarter, build an audience, and achieve your LinkedIn goals.

11 Ways to Increase LinkedIn Followers

Justin Welsh offers a clear, actionable guide to growing a strong LinkedIn presence. These 11 steps are designed to help you build a meaningful, engaged audience.

  1. Focus on LinkedIn
Stick to LinkedIn first. Trying to master multiple platforms at once will spread you too thin.

  2. Think Like a Marketer
Your LinkedIn profile should be treated like a landing page—optimize it with relevant keywords for better search visibility.

  3. Find Your Niche
Choose a niche, then narrow it down even further. Start with a broad topic (e.g., fitness) and focus on a specific sub-niche (e.g., CrossFit for marathoners).

  4. Pick a Medium You Enjoy
Choose a content format you love (writing, videos, etc.) and stick to it. Consistency is key.

  5. Create Content Every Day
Post daily. Even small pieces of content will help you stay top of mind in your network.

  6. Check Your Mindset
Don’t stress over low engagement. Keep posting and building. The real wins come after consistent effort.

  7. Keep Your Audience in Mind
Focus on creating content that teaches, entertains, or challenges your audience to think in new ways.

  8. Double Down on What Matters
Focus on producing original, opinion-driven content. Avoid clickbait or viral content that doesn’t add value.

  9. Understand Copywriting
Great copy is key to grabbing attention. Learn how to write posts that stop people from scrolling.

  10. Break People’s Scroll Pattern
Your first few lines should catch attention. If your first lines don’t hook them, they won’t read the rest.

  11. Encourage Interaction
Ask people to comment, share, or message you. A strong call-to-action boosts engagement.

LinkedIn Growth Strategy in 2025

Dylan Hey points out that LinkedIn has changed dramatically in 2025. Short-form videos, influencer partnerships, and revamped ad strategies are dominating the platform.

Here's how to adapt:

  • Post short-form videos: These generate higher reach and engagement. For example, videos on SaaS landing page updates can gain 40,000+ impressions with minimal effort.

  • Structure your content:

    • 30% posts addressing client pain points and solutions.

    • 50% thought leadership to establish industry authority.

    • 10% company storytelling posts to attract talent.

    • 10% personal storytelling posts crafted to go viral.

  • Generate content ideas quickly: Use tools like Post Strips for ideation. Customize outputs by focusing on specific industries or audiences.

  • Run thought-leadership ads: Turn organic posts into paid ads. These blend seamlessly into LinkedIn feeds, boosting visibility without feeling promotional.

  • Use LinkedIn text ads: Often overlooked, text ads deliver high ROI. Campaigns can drive qualified leads with minimal ad spend.

  • Host and participate in virtual events: Collaborate with trending voices in your industry. Promote events via LinkedIn, record them, and repurpose content into short-form clips.

  • Leverage outbound tools: Platforms like Apollo and Clay can build target lists. Combine with insights from Factors to customize follow-ups based on user behavior.

Reusing one idea for 100 LinkedIn posts

Jasmin Alić shared a powerful strategy to generate endless LinkedIn content from a single idea.

Here’s the process broken down:

  • Start with one idea: For example, "How to get more clients on LinkedIn."

  1. Explain the full process in one post

Example: "This is my client acquisition strategy for LinkedIn (7 steps to make your offer irresistible)."

  2. Turn each step into individual posts

    Example:

    • An optimized profile brings clients on auto-pilot.

    • Are you using the Featured section effectively?

    • My favorite negotiation tactic: Price gauging.

  3. Write about challenges for each step

Example: "99% of your DMs go unnoticed? Here's why."

  4. Add mindset shifts for each step

Example: "Clients care less about your offer’s quality and more about how clearly it benefits them."

That’s 22 posts already: Enough for an entire month of LinkedIn content.

  1. Go even deeper:

    • Share testimonials and personal stories.

    • Discuss broader benefits like time savings, freedom, and business efficiency.

  2. Mix formats:

    • Add visuals like images, videos, or infographics.

    • Reframe the same idea for different audiences or contexts.
